The following Scholarships4Moms promotion is intended for residents in the United States only and shall be construed and evaluated according to the laws of the United States. To participate in Scholarships4Moms promotions, you must also be at least 18 years old. If you do not meet these requirements, we ask that you not enter with us. In order to receive the stated promotion, it requires completion of the offer terms. Offer terms include; age and residency requirements, along with a valid email and shipping address. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and vary by drawing. On average, the odds of winning are approximately 1:125,000.
Entry:
To enter, go to the Entry Page and follow the links and instructions to enter. Entry is free and there is no purchase necessary. Each applicant may enter the promotion once every 7 days during the entry time frame.
The entry time frame is from approximately December 16th, 2024 at 12:00am through February 15th, 2025 at 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time. Once you submit an entry form, we will send you a confirmation email. This email will confirm you have officially entered our scholarship drawing.
FCS/Scholarships4Moms is not responsible for errors, omissions, lost, late, interruptions, deletions, delays in operations or transmission, invalid, incomplete, technically corrupted or misdirected entries. All of these types of entries will be disqualified. All entries become the property of FCS/Scholarships4Moms and will not be returned. FCS/Scholarships4Moms is not responsible for any claims, liabilities or damages in conjunction with the prize of the contest. FCS/Scholarships4Moms is not responsible for any claims liabilities or damages in conjunction with the process of meeting the contest rules. FCS/Scholarships4Moms reserves the right to disqualify contestants for any reason we deem fit and at any time. Contest rules, dates, and guidelines are subject to updates and/or modifications at anytime and for any reason. FCS may occasionally license, share, or otherwise disclose data we collect to third parties, such as other education marketing companies similar to us. As a condition of entering, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy, which states that we may share your information with third parties. If you do not agree to this sharing, you must not enter. Collection and use of personal information that you provide to us is subject to our Privacy Policy. You may view our Privacy Policy. Entrants may be contacted by Free College Scholarship, its affiliates, and/or its marketing partners about educational opportunities or programs.
In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the entrant, entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. The "authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e. g. , business, educational, institution, etc. ) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the respective domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
Drawing & Prizes:
This one-time scholarship of $10,000 MUST be used for educational purposes ONLY. The prize money must be used for education expenses for the original entrant. Educational expenses include: tuition and fees, room and board, books, computers, and school-related supplies. Documentation of requirements must be produced upon request.
The next Scholarship drawing will be held on or around February 15th, 2025, and Sponsor will conduct the drawing. The potential winner will be notified by e-mail, telephone, regular U. S. postal mail, or by overnight carrier within approximately three (3) business days of the selection. If a potential winner cannot be contacted after reasonable effort within two (2) days after the first attempt to contact him/her, this will result in forfeiture of the prize and an alternate entrant will be selected in his/her place at random from among all eligible entries received during the entry time frame. Potential winners must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements listed.
The scholarship monies will be paid directly to the winner upon verification that the winner applied, as well as documentation verifying enrollment in a college or university in the United States. Except where legally prohibited, the potential winner must sign and return, within seven days of being notified, an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release, a written testimonial about how they plan to use the money, a photograph, and a W-9 tax form in order to claim the prize. If the potential winner fails to sign and return the Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release, a written testimonial stating how they plan to use the money, a photograph, and completed W-9 tax form within the required time period, this will result in forfeiture of the prize and an alternate entrant will be selected in his/her place at random from among all eligible entries received during the entry time frame.
Notwithstanding our rules of how you can use the prize money – there are several rules on how you can use the prize money tax free. You should consult with a tax advisor about whether you may owe taxes for your prize money, which shall be your responsibility to pay in full. While the following statements should not be construed as tax advice, please note that a scholarship is tax free only if you are a candidate for a degree at an eligible education institution. An eligible education institution is one that provides a program that is acceptable for full credit towards a bachelors or higher degree, or offers a program of training to prepare students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation; and is authorized under federal or state law to provide such a program and is accredited by a nationally recognized accreditation agency.
In addition, the money must be used on qualified education expenses. Qualified Education expenses for purposes of tax-free scholarships, include: Tuition and fees required to enroll at or attend an eligible educational institution; and course-related expenses, such as fees, books, supplies, and equipment that are required for the courses at the eligible educational institution. These items must be required of all students in your course of instruction. Qualified Education Expenses for purposes of tax free scholarships do NOT include the cost of room and board, travel, research, clerical help, or equipment and other expenses that are not required for enrollment in or attendance in an eligible education institution. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES, AND ANY OTHER COSTS AND EXPENSES, ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF THE PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. As stated above, the scholarship may be tax free if the recipient meets all IRS requirements. To view IRS requirements, please visit http://www.irs.gov. Prize is awarded WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, without limitation. If the winner chooses not to accept his/her prize, an alternate winner may be chosen. The award will be paid in one lump sum to the winner of the promotion.
Eligibility:
The promotion is open only to legal U.S. residents residing in the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at time of entry. You agree that you are currently enrolled, or will be enrolled within the next 3 months, in a college or university in the United States. Applicant must be a mother or an expectant mother. Employees, officers, and directors of FCS/Scholarships4Moms (Sponsor) and its related companies and agents, and members of the immediate family and household of each are not eligible. Immediate family members include parents, siblings, or any person residing in the same household as employee. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. By participating in the promotion, entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding. Void outside of the U. All entrants further agree that in the event of any third party claims, damages, losses or injuries, arising from or relating to this Contest, they will indemnify Sponsor from any and all such claims, including the attorneys' fees related thereto. Sponsor shall not be liable for entries and winner notification responses that are delayed, lost, misdirected, illegible, mutilated, incorrect or incomplete, and such entries will be not be eligible for this Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, inaccurate or misdirected entries, whether caused by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Promotion; computer system, phone line, computer equipment or computer malfunctions, software, program malfunctions or other failures, or other errors or delays; or network connections that are human, mechanical or technical in nature. Disputes:
This Promotion is governed by the laws of the United States without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Promotion, participants agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in the U. S. having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, including attorneys' fees, other than participant's actual out-of-pocket expenses (e. g. costs associated with entering), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
